maybe it could be the resistor mod which gives approx 8% more fuel?....

Get the factory service manual, and then read up on how to dump the codes. If it came on, the ECU logged the condition and will be able to tell you why.

If you have a service manual for a ZX12R, it's the one from Kawasaki. Not like anyone else makes one!

They're in your hotmail account. Hope they are legible.

Damn! Mail was not delivered. I'll try again.
Does hotmail limit the size of files that you can recieve?

Viz, check you connections to the temp sender for the radiator and any other wire you may have touched or disconnected! You are having waay too much fun right now and I would bypass that resistor to see if it is bad.

Hotmail limits you to about a 1MB receive file size unless you've upgraded. (it may not even change then!)

Good call Vince.

There also should have been *2* small wires/plugs over the top of the radiator and plugging in to their receptors just above and in front of the coolant resovoir. Might want to double check those too.

Anyway, the procedure for reading the codes is on pages 2-49 through 2-53. If there is a clue in the codes, it sure could shave off alot of hours blindly chasing hunches.

12RPilot,

I think Voz has an '02 and the manual is different. I don't know if the codes are different but they could be.

Voz,

If you need the pages I can scan them and get them posted for you. Just let me know.

Dave
