Haven't they been out for a quite a while. Worldwide bearing is one of the main suppliers for Ceramic Bearings. Most if not all the 600SS guys use them in the wheels if not transmission as well..

Price is a bit high, but I hear they are coming down rather quickly. Was $400 apiece only a year or two ago. Maybe someone want's to check around...?
Only reason I posted it was it was the first website I found that specifically mentions the ZX12R application availability for 00'-03'.
I would think Doug & Bergie & others running the top-speed meets would be specifically interested in this, & yes I'm also pretty sure the factory race-teams are running these too...

YEP, $75 EACH FROM wORLDWIDE BEARINGS. tHEY SUPPORT drag racing, so it'd be good to support them. You need 3 for the rear, 2 for front.

Karl, are they worth it?
What kind of up-keep do these "race only" bearings need? I'm wondering if it will do anything for me at Maxton...

Bergie,
hard to tell if they are "worth it" for me, because I made a bunch of other changes at the same time. The rear wheel does seem to spin much easier when the chain is tight (for the drags).
As far as up-keep, apparently they do best with a very thin "grease", but this is difficult to achieve with the front ones as they are not accessible wo pulling the wheel, and the inside l rear for the same reason.
I put normal wheel grease on the ones I can't easily get at and Kwasaki racing chain lube (v thin, not waxy) on the 2 that I can get at (r rear & sprocket carrier).
I talked with a bearing engineer (yes, that is a profession!) and he said they are especially useful when under high load because they do not deform and thus give lower rolling resistance under those conditions.
They are super cool, though, when you first get 'em and spin em in yr hand, WAY cool, go forever!!
