02 zx-12 hugger question?

Hey Guys I have a question maybe you can help. I crashed in a turn on my 12 thanks to the help of some sand in the mid part of an 90 degree turn. Anyway in the process of coming to a stop on my side the bike slid backwards toward the edge of the road and hit the corner of a storm drain squarely in the back tire breaking the rim. Thats where me and the bike parted company lol.. Anyway as it bounced off the curb it stood up enough for the rear tire to rotate around a few times as it did the broken rim grabbed the back support for the chain guard and bent it down into the swing arm. Im sure you all can guess what happened when i went to straighten it! Im sure i can have a welder fabricate and weld on a new support tab but that will more than likely burn the powdercoating of the swing arm in that area leaving me another project. Now to the question sorry guys (had to relive the story one more time) Do the huggers use or rely on that rear tab? Which ones are good quality ?? Any help would be appreciated thanks guys. BTW Thanks to Mike Garcia for the quick response and mailing of the stock can worked out perfectly Pal..
