PLEASE HELP ME
I have a 2001 zx12 with 7557 miles on it. For the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong with it but I'm assuming its something electrical. I CANT GET MY BIKE TO CRANK UP. So far I've replaced the ignition wire harness I've ordered a new tip sensor but hasn't got here yet. Fuel pump does not prime and I have no spark. When I turn the motor over the oil light flashes but not the fi light. The oil was just recently changed. The bike was laid down and it hasn't started since. If there's ANYONE WHO HAS ANY INPUT AT ALL OF A POSSIBLE SUGESTION IT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

If you can find a local 12 owner with the same year (or a dealer) try to swap the ECU to see if it works correctly then. Otherwise I'd think your idea of replacing the tip over sensor is a good idea.

Check the stator wiring in the harness at the rear plug. Look for oil in the plug that has been pushed up the harness. If it's wet, you need a stator. There was a service bulletin. Do a search.

I was going to suggest the Steam regulator but I'll bet you're onto something...
In all seriousness if the bike was on it's side and ran before that event I would think some of the suggestions above are good places to start. Like the side stand switch and the clutch switch. What side was it laid over on? Was the impact severe or a simple low speed drop? What made you suspect the stuff you already replaced? Was there damage to the wiring harness? One more simple thing, The 12R is very fickle about battery voltage. The thing can have enough power to roll the starter and still NOT fire up. Make sure your battery is smoking hot charged before anything else.

the bike was laid over on the right side I replace the harness just to replace it because I didn't figure out why it wouldn't start I got the tip over sensor in today going to install that in the morning battery voltage may also be a big key saying that I have to use a set of jumper cables to get it to turn over the bike was lay down doing about 40 miles per hour try to take a curb too hard andbike slid from under him I've also did a valve adjustment since I had already taken the motor of the bike

If the bike hasn't run since you did the valve adjustment, I would check that the cam timing is correct and that all the marks line up.

What was the last thing you did before it would not respond. What happened between the time it started and the time it wouldn't?
Can you get another junction box to swap so you can eliminate the relays?
Did you inspect the wires from the stator. Nothing heat damaged there?

I have seen corrosion on the contacts in the actual switch on the handlebar. Have you taken the housing off the bar and made sure the switch is actually closing the circuit? You can check it with a meter at the plug as well.
I THINK those are two Black/Red wires on the switch side of the plug.

Boy, this is a puzzle!
I don't want to focus on the junction box, but failures there may not be visible. It contains diodes, solid relays relays that can fail.
Easy to eliminate if you can borrow a working one.
You know I seem to remember something about an anti-theft circuit in there. Maybe do a search on that.....

I'm going to go with either the kick stand switch, tip over switch or kill switch like many others have stated. If any one of them goes south it will do exactly what you are explaining.
Just don't start replacing things though. You are just wasting money until you really know what the problem is.
I assume you have the manual and are prepared to start going through the troubleshooting steps? If not, you should be. Going at this issue blindly is just going to frustrate you and you may never figure it out via that method unless you get real lucky.

Replacing the harness as a first step is extreme and potentially very problematic in itself. Taking wild swings at what's wrong with this thing and replacing this, that, and everything without any of it fixing the thing I'm going with the guy about that states go BACK and check where you installed the cams at. AT the risk of sounding like I'm talking down to you no competent mechanic would start off by replacing the harness and a mechanic that would do that right out of the gate is probably not the right guy to be pulling the cams out and adjusting the valves on a 12R motor. I don't mean to sound shitty but there's something very simple that a simple test meter and a few hours tracing down the different systems AFTER you check the timing marks on the cams FIRST THING FROM HERE.. A few hours spent wisely will save you a pile of money and lots of wasted time. That's just how I would proceed .
