DG5: Thanks for the memories
Once again we had a great time at the DG5 event. I just wanted to let everyone know how much fun I had riding with everyone. Due to the weather I didn't get to ride with everyone as much as I wanted to since I live an hour from Townsend, it's like a whole other world when it comes to the weather. It can be nice and sunny there and raining like a sonofabitch here. I love my Pirellis but its not fun getting caught out in the rain on them. But the days we did ride together were a blast. All the guys rode great. The guys that couldn't keep the pace in the first few DG events have now closed up the gap. Its great to see them improve and get more confidence in their riding ability. Jonwright was the new kid on the block and for no longer than he has been riding he did a helluva job and can hustle the 12 around pretty damn fast. You hear these guys talk shit on the board, I guess all the energy they use to talk smack goes straight to their right hand while down here because there was not a slow one in the bunch. Them motherfuckers can haul ass! To all my brothers that were down here this week,thanks a lot for the memories...some things money just can't buy. See ya at DG6! It's ASS! Now sit down and have yourself a nice cup of shut the fuck up! (By the way, thanks to Waldo for the parting gifts, very cool!)

Here are some of my favorite memories from DG5:
State Trooper: "Just how many ARE there?"
Mark: "My bike hadn't been passed like that since it was sitting on the side of the road at Foot Hills."
Elk: "...And I was down 8 hp, too."
Mark: "Heider was covered up under those blankets like the KKK was after his ass."
Roger: "What wheelie?" (to Bart after riding his bike).
Just about anything Bart (Walldo) had to say.
Harry: "Shut the fuck up, Bart."
Knowing that when Bart says "Shut the fuck up" he's got nuthing for ya.
Nicknames bestowed by Rick to Bart (Walldo), Heider (Clifford), and Otis (Dirtbike Dan).
Shirts and spooge rag kindly donated by Bart. Thanks, man.
Riding behind Otis and Rick watching them point out the proper exit lines on the curves with nice black darkies.
Riding behind Mark on Cherohola at 160 wondering when the fuck this curve is straightening out.
Riding behind Mark on Cherohola taking a curve at stoooopid speeds thinking it was opening up nailing the gas, only to have it tighten up. Right peg has scuff marks to show for that one.
The comraderie of the guys - just like hanging out with old friends.
Having my stomach and sides hurt from laughing so much.
Melissa cooking for us drunk fuckers when it was raining. Evidently some guys might know how to grill but we don't know shit about a stove. 
And finally, but not certainly least, Mark and Melissa's graciousness as mine, Roger's, and Elk's host.
Unless something comes up, I'm marking my calendar for September.

I had a great time at DG5. Big thanks to Mark and Melissa for all their hospitality and the way they can make somebody feel right at home. I had a hell of a time riding down there as I do every time. Hope to be back in september.

Awesome time...........
Lucky it was all good brother. I had a blast, just like I always do. Lil' Red ran great and I throwed the coals to her with no mercy as I always do. It was good seeing you, Melissa, and the rest of the crew again. The "Smackhouse Crew" was in full effect as usual. Lots of smacktalk, hard partying,tons of laughter, and miles and miles of great rides.
Bart was his usual ignorant self, and I mean that in a good way. Harry and I went easy on him and let him take the week off so he could enjoy his riding time better. The bus station regulars were probably devistated.
People that have never been around this group probably don't understand the hype. It is something you can't describe in text form. You need to be there in the middle of it all to get the big picture.
Some of my memories from the trip:
Riding wheelies with Hyder.
Stuffing a State Trooper on I-40.
Late breaking a school bus with Otis.
Running through the canyon knowing I only had to milk 20 or so more miles out of my rear tire, which was fuggin' shot. I abused that MF those last few miles. Come to think of it, I abused it on all of the miles.
The partying out back at the cabin.
The night at Pizza Hut.
Qualifying with Brian in the van.
Doing donuts in front of pizza hut with Brian in the van.
Riding the gap with Bart.
Running the Cherohala with Roger.
The night at Mark and Melissa's house.
The crashes, then my names I gave to the crash victims.
All the friggin' cops.
Mark letting me go run down Sherman after he missed the road, knowing all the while that Mr. trooper was comin'. (Bastard )
Me , Chris and Jon running the Cherohala.
Shit really just too much to compute right now. It'll take me a couple weeks to come back down to earth. I've got tons of pics I'd like to post, so maybe I'll get time. There are a zillion stories to be told, and plenty of laughs to be had I assure you. I miss all you guys already!!!!!!!!!!

Well another Gap trip is behind us, and as a slightly alert person my imput is as follows...
If you have never attended a trip your loss.
Jonwright Great rider but stupid dumdass riping up a sheriffs yard Jon Wright ( we gave him your name and address).
Harry aka Count suckyoulot, I kind of in a wried way bonded with him even more then any other trip truly a good man.
Rick (the coolest hillbilly I've ever met), You kand ride, one suggestion... Tire management, like that will ever happen.
Otis (the motor city chicken chocker) You are like a brother ther only one that understands the "Yankee's" it is all good will straighten out the cretens from the south.
Mark... Like a father to me, just an out right great dude. If you think your fast try to follow him.
Mellisa... One of the best "People" I know, if you are looking for a saint on this earth look no further.
Bri and Heider I already told my feelings too.
Turboblew everyone?!!! Just kidding Steve you are a solid dude... When you picked me up after having a high side with the beer ready you are the shit!!! It was my pleasure to meet you and hope to see you in september.
Sherm... Great sickers, I always enjoy your side of the story ( as f-up as it might be). I look forward to your master creation for the trip. DG 69. It should truly be special.

Man I have been swamped at work today. MARK! You fucking Knoxville knobgobbler I didn't get to ride you at all! A little rain sure does freak people out but I understand with the tires you run it wouldn't be worth the risk. It's all good though brother, it'll be ASS in Sept.

Excellent reply Otis, I know you're bummed about leaving a day early bro, but all us guys will make it up to you somehow. Maybe a swift kick in the ass will do the trick. Just kiddin' homey, glad we got to ride, party,ride, party some more.

Well, let's just say Bart (Ballsuck12R) did a little cliff diving.
Basically he drove his 12R into (not off of) a cliff. You can see the pics at one of the DG5 pic threads.

Being a part of a race in which Harry and I took out kids for 9-14 stuffing them in the wall and gaurd rail was just fucking awesome.

I had a great time riding with everyone and meeting the new folks. I rode slower than I usually do because I had a feeling I might crash if I pushed it. I still wicked it up a few times though.
