This thread is funny to me because when my wife first moved here from Alberta Canada her tires were worn out on one side which was strange to me I had never seen anything like that before. When I ask her that the deal was she said the only corners they had to enjoy was Cloverleafs !! She couldn't hardly make a left turn for the first several months it was so strange to her. Several years later and she's doing quite well ..

Yeah, a lot of riders dig the practice, & I have to admit back in the 70's, the group I rode with did it too as it was an hour to our favorite twisties via numerous freeways. It helped to relieve boredom of the long ride to our favorite roads.
Then one early Sunday on our way to the twisties, we all peel off to make the 4 ramps....
I was mid-pack & i see the 3 lead riders go down all at once. They all slid into the grass, & the one bike tumbled (a trick Moto-Guzzi "Le Mans.") Bingo, totaled the Le Mans, & one guy broke his foot, another several ribs. Ride off for that day...spent the rest of the day getting people/bikes home. Bummer.
Turns out some POS cage had drenched the ramp w/anti-freeze (worse than oil IMHO), that caused the whole thing. I pretty much ceased Cloverleafing after that. The only exception would be to make a slow pass FIRST, then enjoy if it's clean.
IMHO, FWIW

I'm not talented enough to go in a corner hot and heavy yet, but do appreciate the advice. Still learning how and where to trust my zx12 in corners.

The 12R is a good handling bike; though a bit slow to rider inputs due to it's weight.
Most of the roads out are "goat trails" = tight, bumpy twisties. Thus, I had to force it to turn even when it wanted to go straight. The ART of "countersteering" (pushing on inside bar/pulling out outside) to force bike to fall on the inside edge of the tire became habit to me long ago, & using it w/the 12 was a must in the tight stuff when hauling azz; in a group or not.
If your not doing this, highly recommend looking into rider aids. Books (like Keith Code's "Twist of the Wrist" series.) Trackday's are awesome; there's surely a rider school near you. Getting on a track will open your eyes to a whole new world of riding; just you and the bike w/o distractions teaches you tons. Especially if you have coaching from experts.
There's even lots of helpful videos on YouTube. Check it out....
