shiftlight

have a Harlan shiftlight with three wires : red, black, anc green.
Red is said to be connected to a 12 volt source that turns on with the key.
Black ground.
Green is the tack input.

which is the best places for me to connect all these three wires?

The tach input is a light blue wire that goes into your gauge cluster. Right up there underneath your guages is probably the easiest place to splice into that wire.

The black (ground) can splice into any ground wire. I'm lazy, so I would just run it directly to the ground on the battery.

I don't know which wire it is, but I would just splice into the 12V for the parking light for the red wire.

If I recall correctly...the harlan shiftlight wont work with the signal going into the instrument cluster...I think it has to go to the #1 coil wire.

Yah, unless you want to set the shift point at 46,000 rpm.

Looks good to me man.

It may work from the signal wire behind the speedo...but I dont think so :/

Just run the wire down to the first stick coil...its not THAT much further.

#1= solid red
#2=black/green
#3=black/red
#4=black/orange

got this message from HARLAN...

the busa's will work on the tach lead behind the
cluster

but the 12's seem to need a connection to the coil
wires themselves. Not exactly sure why, but that has
been the easiest way to date.

you'll probably need to set it for either coil-on-plug
or 2 cylinder if you tap off one of the coil.

godd luck
