tail light fuse: me pone LOCO!!!!!

I spent yesterday and this am v early mounting my Beasley 6", and was pretty damn happy with the way things were going. UNTIL, I did the last thing, adding 6" to the r directionals and tailight wires. Got it all done and fired it up.

Well, I tried to fire it up, but it would just crank over like a mofo, but not fire. WTF!!!???

Checked the fuses and all fine. Then started checking this n' that, getting more vexxed by the minute.

Finally, after a couple hours, I re-checked the fuses and found the tail light fuse blown. Changed it and the bike started immediately.

Why the hell should a taillight fuse prevent the bike from starting???? Fukken safety feature????

Oh well, at least now I know where every goddamn fuse is located...

The PC3 has a (+) wire hooked to the tail-lite!!!
So you can "talk to" the PC with the switch on (tail lite on) but without the engine running
I would think that's why???

I was thinking the exact same thing as Kev-bo. I just had a picture of you shorting out the PC3 while you were wiring up the tail light.

KC, you oughta think about moving to Houston. Just as flat as Fla, same plague of mosquitos, Spanish is damn near the primary language, but the BBQ is better!!!! Besides then my bike would prolly get 1st rate attention.

BTW, the Beasley looks right (not like those giant extended "turnip-tails"), keeps the trunk & passenger seat. I'll post photos one o' these days.
