pc3r: corrupts files when saved??? very wierd, i load a file from my laptop to the software OK. Then I made -10's at idle to ign map; then uploaded all to the pc3r, OK. Then i saved the modded map to my laptop and it gets corrupted big time 7000 rpm & up. All kind o' big numbers. WTF????

Is this an older PC3r? (Prior to maybe September 2002?) When this happens, and you have an Older version and the Occasional Hard start , they (Dynojet) will take the unit back and replace it! Send me a PM for more details if you need more information.

Anyone having any problems with the yosh box?Have the yosh boxes been updated at all since there production?I ordered one when the first became available and have never installed it yet

I've been told (by someone that has one) that Yosh "offered" options for their box that have never been produced/available...
Ted...very few electronics products that are produced are perfect when they are first introduced (I know it's been years now) and...I KNOW you know that electronice are constantly being updated/upgraded...
NOT trying to start a pissing match and...I KNOW you were VERY displeased with the service that dynojet gave you but dang...can't you let it go??? (now that it's been years???)
I for one have had "almost" nothing but good experiences with the PC3s and as I've repeated in more than one thread...I would NOT run a FI bike without one...I have seen WAY TOO MUCH improvement in power AND DRIVABILITY with them to shy away because of some ocasional glitches...
Heck...we are going to buy a PC3r for ZX12s so I can map (tunning link) a ZX12 with it then...copy the #s into a yosh box to save TONS of time and wear and tear on the bike that has the YoshBox

I have had GREAT service from Dynojet, and I have abused the shit out of my PC3r. At one point the tire burned thru the trunk and hit the PC (and the ECU... whoops...). Never mind me bumbling around the wiring, snipping this, soldering that, checking the manual only when stuff goes South.
I will send mine back, but in the mean time good ole Doug will send me another one. So pretty soon I'll have TWO of em and one bike! ____________

Yosh claims that the ems comes with an shift ignition kill as an option for the 12. I purchased this option with my Yosh ems back in November. I have long since turned purple and blue holding my breath waithing for it. Th last time I checked that was bout six months ago. I bought the Yosh so I could switch between a NOS and Non NOS map.

Entrophy....then you'll almost be the "ideal" DynoJet customer. One on the bike, one in the mail, one in for repair...lol
Ill take the "no problems with my unit for $500, Alex"
When you say "the occasional hard start", do you mean where the starter turns over just fine for a second and then just stops? I had that problem with my old battery, replaced the battery and now it still happens about every third time I cold start the bike. Never happens when it is warmed up, probably because it doesn't have to crank long enough for it to happen. I guess I should unhook the PC-III and see if I ever get the same symptoms without it. I remember this problem being discussed a while back, but I wrote my problem off to the battery as it wouldn't hold a charge for more than a couple days.

rs... there are a few people that have had that happen...
The guy I know got a new PC from DynoJet (after he sent his to them)...
Since we had his bike appart building the motor so...the time/shipping issue didn't bother him...

Kcadby, I do this shit for a living. If my work were that shoddy, I would not be there very long. What pisses me off the most is their insistence on the fact there would be no PC3r, so I bought one, and lo and behold a PC with timing came out just months later. The mortality rate is far too high for a device that may hold your life in it's hands. I have seen many people with problems. Get an oscilloscope and look at the pulse lengths with "0" in all cells. Sorry it ain't all that great. Also their service sucks and I ain't the only one who thinks so.

I understand what your saying Ted but...THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO (when they lied about 3r)
I also don't give a damn about the 0s NOT being 0s because the reason I put PCs on bikes to begin with is to be able to tune the bike NO MATTER WHAT THE #s end up being!!!

RS, sorry for taking so long to get back to you, but that is exactly what happens. It feels like the battery is low or the timing is waay to advanced or the cylinder just got filled with fuel! It only does it rarely, but that is from the PC! It has yet to hapen with the new one!
ENTROPY I tried to send an e-mail, but it did not work!

I'm not using any PCs right now. The endurance race bike is naked, per se. It's got a 1270 kit and the TiForce exhaust, that's it. Starts, idles like a dream as low as 900rpm, snappy throttle response, no herky-jerky shit going on. The 1347 bike is coming back from Muzzy's, after air shifter install and a bad boy tune thrown on the EMS system in it. I'll get it back, throw the bars back on it and have some serious fun. ____________

The "0"s are important to me, Here in the black hole of culture, technology, and service there are no places to tune ones bike unless you own a Harley. That being said, one has to start with "0"s and try to dial in specific areas. If the WFM (Whole Fucking Map )is skewed you end up having to dial in across the board, also when the RPMs change the actual ratio of pulse lengths changes in relation to the stock pulse length, making tuning a nightmare. Also the amount of skewing is not consistent across the entire throttle/RPM range So I stand by my previous assessment. The PC3 is a pile. Oh I'm sorry, did I say a pile? I meant an undependable pile.
