jerking while under load in 1st gear

Having problems with 1st gear only. When rolling bout 50 then nail it, the bike jerks 3 our more times but never jumps out of gear. It's a 3x2.6 with cams and head work. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks

I know someone out there has had this problem, any ideas??? Clutch stack height is to the high side but still within spec. Three heavy and three stock springs. Motor was done by Sal but I'm 12 plus hrs away! Race cut tranny, billet basket, new steels and fibers. Gonna replace chain. Sprockets are both steel with one down on front, two down on rear to stop the wheeling. I'm bout 6 inches extended lowered front and rear, still wheelies but that jerking scares me. Please help!!!

losing traction?
more detail may help too, like does it jerk while accelerating? immediately upon hitting it or a second later? what rpm? etc.

Motor makes 205 on pump gas. Traction not an issue. Feels like a missing tooth somewhere but chain has some wear, sprockets both are good. Tranny race cut and magna fluxed installed a year ago. Checked clutches all good, don't wanna have to pull the engine. I'm puzzled!!! And thanks for the reply

The bike is around 7 grand @ 50mph. Soon as I hit it wheelies or jerk three or more times but never jumps out of gear. It does this only in 1st gear.

chain slack? i did have similar sounding issues (not quite the same tho) with a chain that was way too lose cause it was just plain old. Or at least it went away after i replaced the chain, don't know if it was actually skipping teeth or not.

Good stuff, glad it took care of it. The 12 seems to eat chains, at least for me, and that's with me always using the top spec DID Gold model.
