I wonder if there is any kind of salvage value to these, like at a foundry?. Seems like a waste of perfectly good titanium!
Dino..perhaps you have a need for all this titanium for a future projects...hehe

I'm with frEEk. Don't want to advertise, but it's still pretty hard to disguise the 12 on the boil. But I can slip by people and be in front before they know I've even been by.

If I were to get a pipe, I'm thinking either Yosh or the Muzzy with the "Neighbor friendly" packing.

The stock pipe is getting loud itself.

i cant say i'v ever noticed the similarit myself, but been told b a few people that the stock bike sounds rather like a jet at higer speeds & revs. kinda cool to have somethin that sounds a bit different, rather than that same racer exhaust note everone goes for (altho that is a ver nice sounde too ).
buy, i would LOVE to roll down the street with the turbine bike and hear that sound tho. i'd never stop laughin from all the looks people give me.

Still running stock here, I tried my buddies yosh and liked the looks and the sound but those extra decibels are just asking for a friendly police visit.

As for a turbine motorcycle, those of you with advanced machining skills and a healthy budget could probably scale up one of these engines and adapt it to a special tranny somehow. It would be quite a project.

I always thought that my bike sounds kinda like an outboard motor when its idling with the stock pipe(is that crazy or what), Yep it is still mounted to the bike

Id have to say of all the pipes Ive heard...the Akrapovic is the quietest.
Muzzys can be made quiet with new packing, but after a few WFO runs...there is no mistaking what pipe is on the bike...lol

Freek I sent you an email.
TedG, Im suprised you didnt let the system go with the 11 when you sold it. Do you have a special attachment to it?

You can gut the stock muffler and pick up some pretty good HP. I just rode a completely stock 2000 with a stock exhaust. I love the "muffled" sound the engine makes when wicking it up! Wow...talk about flashbacks to 2000...hehe

1 - 12R full system
1 - 7R full system
1 - 7R canister
1 - smashed 600 Katana complete system
1 - V&H slip-on for a Katana

... and various brackets, sprockets and other "unknown" small parts (some still in the OEM bag) for early 90's KX250, KX500, KDX200, KDX250, EX 500, as well as the P series 7R and '00 12R. I won't mention the Suzuki DR350S, or the Katanas. I will say that I have NEVER owned a Katana, though. I don't know how those parts got there!

I sold the 11 though a friends dealership and never saw the guy who bought it. So the stock system stayed. Hmm maybe ebay is the ticket.

Yah, that guy is something else.
That would be great to have the skills, tools and smarts to make anything from blocks of metal.
When my wife used to work at cooper turbocompressor i went in to watch the computer controlled 5 axis mill carve out custom impellers for special application turbos.
Those impellers are up to six foot in diameter.
Amazing stuff!
Here is a sample of a standard compressor they make http://www.turbocompressor.com/bvcgi-bin/ctc.dll/ctc/scripts/products/productoverview.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1947740522.1050848010@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccdadcidigmkficgeicfgkdghldfjf.0&oid=15586149
