valve cover gasket
Is it possible to replace valve cover gasket without pulling the motor on a 2002 zx12?

Yes! After owing and servicing my ZX12 now for 13 years I really don't understand how the myth of servicing ZX12 always means droppin the engine wheather it beeing plugs, valve clearance or almost anything else. Yes it's true that there isin't too much space but there is all the space You need for all the maintenance work. And in fact I find servicing ZX12 more easy than some other bikes as You don't have to remove the airbox as in twinspar frames. Hardest part is to remove that plastic cover over the cam cover but it comes out without removing radiator when You're patient. And if You get rid off the KLEEN system it makes it easier. And if Your're changing the gasket and You have a leak in the front left corner it most probably is the camsaft sensor that's leaking, not the cover gasket. Remove the sensor and add some sealant and put it back. That sensor has leaked on both of my ZX:s and also on my friends ZX. If that fixis it You just have to remove left lower cowling.
