Long winter project

It isnt that big of a project, but it took me all winter to complete it! I wanted a place to mount switch gear for heated grips(thanks Claude),cooling fan switch, garage door opener push button, and room for a ? button.

I made this dash out of .063 6061 t651 aluminum. The upper portion mounts to the fairing with two of the windshield well nuts. The lower or face portion then screws to it with 3 stainless screws.
The leading edge resides just above the daytime running light in a groove.
No part of it touches the instrument cluster so movement between the fairing and cluster is not a problem.
The upper portion hides the rats nest of wiring that the aftermarket windscreen exposed. My screen is light smoke so the wiring was a sore thumb to look at before the dash was installed.

As you can see I still have to install a few more switches, only the heated grip switch is currently installed.

Put the photo's in snapfish, hope the display for all.
