motor swaps

will a motor from a '00 work well in an '01, and vice versa? I believe the cams are different, but what else has to be done to make them work well? all input appreciated.

I have a spare 01 motor that i'm going to put for sale because some people have said that the wiring harness on the motor is different and you have to swap ecu and wiring harness with the motor. My 2000 motor is at the shop being assembled right now and i should be able to confirm if the wiring harness on the motor is different or not by the end of Tuesday.I know the exhaust cams are different but i think it would be fine if your running a pc3 just like if you ran two intake cams or aftermarket cams.
