Not much point to selling mine, i'd be lucky to get $1000 for it. Although it is the faster silver one, so that's good for another $10,000.

I still have my Red 00 12r. I couldn't part with it so I kept it when I bought the 14r. I'm still picking up small items for it now that they come really cheap. my 12r has 36000 miles, the 14r only 242. about a week ago I went out on a short ride, I had both keys inhand and it took me 10 minutes to decided which to take out. The 12r went out that day.

Still have my Green 00' w/ Muzzy 1270 kit at 14:1 CR. Thought about selling it many times... just have not done it. Too many mods to list and still reatins the stock look. Runs like a beast on the race course though!!! Has over 33,000 miles now......

It's great to see/hear that a lot of guys still love and have kept their 12Rs! I'll be celebrating my 13th anniversary with my 12R on April 15. [And I bet there will be many more to come.]
I gave up on the idea of building a V-twin cruiser --- the more I thought about it I realized it just didn't make sense/work for me. Bought a 2004 Mustang GT instead. Yeah, I KNOW --- it's a damn car, but it will still be a fun project to work on and modify!

I can fix that for you frEEK... I've revived one from the complete DEAD before back to better than showroom... Most bikes aren't worth that kind of time and investment but the 12R is...

I brought this bike back from the DEAD to the pictures you see below for a forum member on another site.

*************************************************AFTER ******************************************************

And best of all your's truly standing behind the finished project on the way out the door at about 4am in the morning it was finished the first day of a Deals Gap Rally all work done over about 3 months..It was taken down to the last nut and bolt. There was nothing left untouched. I even had to have the nuts and bolts that weren't replaced I had them replated black with dry film. Even had the AK pipes that were beyond help coated with black dry film.

frEEK I can fix that for you if you ever decide it's worth fixing I promise you it can't be worse than this one was... I have tons more before and after pictures.. Even the wiring harness was junk on this thing where it had been hacked on by anyone with a wrench that the guy could find to work on his shit... I haven't seen it in a few years I hope he has take care of it....

Gunner I know we have had our differences in the past.... but I thought this before, and I still think this now, you did a great job on GO200's bike.

Go200s bike was a disgrace and fit for the JUNK YARD when I agreed to take it in and change the chain and add a Penski shock. It got a bit more done before it went home. There wasn't anything left on it not even the VIN Number Tag. Restores on that level take years I done it in 4 months I think less but won't swear to it. I have hundreds of before and after pictures. I've never seen a bike this trashed and nasty still being rode daily which is a testament of how tough Kawasaki builds things and why I own NOTHING but Kawasaki's. There's a lot more than brand loyalty to why I believe in Kawasaki the way I do. I built my first turbo bike at the age of 17 in 1981 which was also a 100% build down to the last bolt. No I didn't do a great job on that bike I performed a modern day miracle. To tell you how complete it really was even the words that circle the ignition switch had to be restored and hand painted with the smallest brush and you ever seen in your life! Take a close look at that switch next time you get next to it and look close in these pictures above.

I still have both of my ZX12s. Can't bring myself to part with either of them. I even still have a 0-mile fresh motor sitting on the shelf that was built by the late Dave Owen when he worked for Lee's Performance.

The ZX12 is one of those bikes that just doesn't make much sense to get rid of. The money in hand won't get anything out there that would be anywhere near its performance. It is still truely one of the best buys out there. Rolling 28K on my street one....still given the busa boys fits!

I live in Monterey, Laguna Seca is in my back yard. I was there last year and this year. Mine was the green '00 you might have seen on Canery Row Friday and Saturday night....

there was only a couple other ZX12R's in attendance...

Ah, I was thrown by your profile saying Nebraska.
Didn't do cannery row this year. Not that mine is recognizable as a 12 anyway.
Was cannery row a cluster fuck this year again or did the city/police actually do it right?

IMO anybody that has an A1 today and sells it today is flat fucking dumb. ;-)
Remember.... You could buy a slew of muscle cars in the late 70's-80's for next to nothing. Watch Meccum some time. A car I could buy, say a '71 Cuda 440 6 Pack for 3-5 grand when I was in high school (and yes, I had two friends that did) is now worth $80K and up. The sky is the limit.
These bikes are at the bottom of the market value-wise. They are not making anymore of them. And every day a few more get destroyed by some 19 year old that thinks he is boy racer.
No gentlemen, my A-1 is not going anywhere.

Sold my A1 back in 00' due to needing funds desperately.
I'm still kicking myself every time I come here....I miss it desperately.
Least the new owner is taking to bike nights & shows it in bike shows. He's treating it right...
Spent $18k, sold for $5K......duh. What an idiot....someday I'll find another...
