SHIFT FORKS: Spec's and tolerances............
Yes, I am cross-posting this with another site! 
From talking with a bunch of you, Kerry at Schnitz and reading old posts, I went ahead and started replacing my clutch forks.
I had been slowly encountering a problem with my 1-2 foot-shift at the dragstrip, so I figured they should be replaced. I almost never had a problem on the street.

Here's what I found:
New shift fork measurements:
----------------------------------------------
The 2 forks on 1 shaft: .02370/.02380 & .02375/.02380
The Single fork: .02410/.02415
Old/Used shift fork measurements:
----------------------------------------------------
The 2 forks on 1 shaft: .02325/.02330 & .02360/.02365 (-.00045/50 & -.00015/15 off)
The Single: .02370/.02375 (-.00040 off)
Anyone know whether this is "out of spec" or not for our shift forks??
Sure wish we had data from other peeps shift forks!!

BA,
you were REAL quick to respond to my color rite question, so i ran right to the garage and measure up the shift forks which came outa my bike 6 mo ago.
from the 2 forks shaft (has a 281 on the forks):
#1 - .227/8
#2 - .222/7 with the tip being thicker than the part towards the shaft
single: .227/8
looks like mine are MUCH more worn than yours!
mine are VERY visibly worn!!!!!!
