karl aka entropy i need some help
this thread is for anbody that has any expirence with the 1427 engine and i now karl has been threw about a 100 of them but anyway i have a 1427 spun #2 rod bearing had about 20 passes on it and my machanic said that the rods small in was getting tight and i had a coby adams prototype pan that i bought from some one and my machanic said that it had to do with lack of oil pressure im trying to find out whats a good oil system to run oil,oil pan, shim releif valve,etc im trying to do street and track just want it to live so i dont be spending money that i dont have to spend any help is appreciated.

i got better launching oil pressure with a Koenig swinging pickup pan

I have also had good luck with Koenig oil pan. Just make sure the pick swings nice and smooth before you put in.

ok so there much better than the coby pan. and what do i shim the relief valve to for better oil pressure. and what's a good oil to run. etc
