Muzzy Fans
Are the Muzzy fans worth the money if you put a full system on....i've heard of the stock fans melting cause of the heat????? is this true

On the ZX12R, no the stock fans will not melt. I've heard of it happening on other bikes where the headers are too close to the OEM plastic fans.
However the Muzzys fans are an excellent upgrade and will flow more air because of the design of the blades. I have them on my ZX12Rs and they work great! The install is easy too.

Well I will tell you right now My fan melted! not very bad but it was starting very much so and on one of the crashed bike's I bought the fan was very melted, it is a cheep upgrade I would do it!

My reasoning is that the fan is a no-brainer. It's dirt cheap insurance, and if you're gonna have the radiator off anyway to replace the headers, you might as well throw the fans on.

Well I can say that I have seen the stock fan on the 00 with a Muzzy Ti system melt. So the muzzy fan cools well and does not melt.

When you say "fans" I assume you have a 2002 with the dual radiator fans?
It is easy to do once you have the radiator removed. (little tip, jump the temp sensor wire so the fan turns on once you install the new blade) 
Ive seen folks tweak the fan blade some and it hits on the housing or radiator. Not pretty! 
Its $75 for the 2002s and newer. Its worth it.

Agreed....
I'm with the majority on this one. Cheap insurance for sure. I've got a Muzzy Fan on my bike and it works great. A bit louder than the stocker but that is due to the fact that it is moving more air. A cheap, but worthwhile mod.
Otis, you cheap sumbiatch!!! You didn't replace the stock fan when you upgraded to the full system???? That fuckin' glue sniffin' has taken its' toll I'm afraid.

I had a full Ti Muzzy on my '0 and it melted one of the blades on the stock fan. Installed a Muzzy Alum.
