Stator Cover Hole

Hi,

Could find anyone with the same problem on Google so here goes:

I run a ZX12R engine in a race car and oil has been leaking from the top of the stator cover through a small hole. Should this hole be plugged? It doesn't look like the hole is threaded.

Any info or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for looking..I'm told the engine is a 2001, it looks like the stator cover is drilled for an oil feed and the hole is at the top of where it is drilled but i'm not sure what was there before.
