Just a nuther night in...Florida...
Typical night in Florida!!!

This would be UMmmm...Midnight+31...768-miles on ZX9R's 1270...49MPH...2,700RPM...Um
1/2-tank of gas (Texico 93)...Temp ...0% throttle...HEY???Who's Drivin this thi??... AAAAAAAAAAHH!...............WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!
I was..."drivability mapping" Eric's bike this afternoon and tonight...I ended up riding it over 200-miles cause it's...just soooooo nice to ride now that I've "got the map close" for cruising
This thing has a "sweet spot" at 5,000rpm that's SO Smooooooth it's just unreal...
No vibration what-so-ever...too bad you can't go 90mph EVERYWHERE
Feels pretty darned good with... power-on too!!!

Hey Wildman, that guy looks a little sunburnt, just like I got while I was out riding today. Someone has to tolerate all this good weather. HAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA!!
Just think of all the money you save on fuel, tires, suntan lotion, and the wear and tear on your bike.

That Weather Suck's
Dave you and the rest of your all year around fancy weather people are really some what un-American if you ask me (which you didn't). Being an American means dealing with adversity, and troubling time's that is what makes us great. Understandable we all have dealt with our own struggles as it pertains to (9/11) BUT, how do you people every appreciate a eightly degree day when you can walk proudly out of a winter climate like Chicago's.

Ouch, that hits a bad spot. You can call me just about anything you want and it will roll off, but there area few things that don't and un-American is one of them. I assume that comment was made in fun so I won't go into a rant.
I personally have had my share of tragedy in my life so I can appreciate EVERY day, whether it's 80 above of 20 below.
I was in Illinois last week so when I stepped of the plane here in Daytona I had a great appreciation for the weather here.
Smile, you'll thaw out soon, not real soon, but soon.

Dude, send me the banner, and I will take some cool shots of it (and my 12R) by castles and stuff in Germany.
We could get a collection of Banner 'round the worls shots!
I need to get a life maybe?

Bart, its not major at all, the cold and snow. I can deal with that better that the whole west hell thing the southern riders deal with may through september. I have never seen kids throwing "sandballs" on Christmas day. You can have your palm trees! I can see women in thons in the winter, all I have to do is look in my neighbors window!

man, im dying to see what the hp output is!!! I hope it is in the 190's! I really didnt get on it enough to tell the difference. also because of the smaller front sprocket.
kevin, you mentioned that the last 2 1270's he dynoed came in low.... do you think it might be his dyno? I have a guy with a dyno here in my town, I will have it done twice to get a conclusive answer.
if the power output is lower than epected, then there are things we can do, right???

I am thinking about it! I would like to shut those doubtful fuckers up after they can see what kinda of 60 ft times he could get with a real 1270. he ran 9.64 on it before the kit with stock gearing....
now i just need to get my ass to the track. Im ready now!!

ya mean a banner? i just meant ship the current one around, rather than make new ones. would be cool to have one of those symbols that goes around the world. ideally, id love to have every member sign it r something. course, that could get spensive!

frEEK,
I'd send it if I had it. I saw it for a few minutes, hung it up in front of the speedway, snapped a few photos, and then rolled it up and it was gone. I'm not sure where it is right now.

Sounds Like A Plan To Me.....
I'm all for it, probably need to start a list with addresses so we know where to send it next. The postage can't be that expensive, I know I've got over $200 worth of Christmas card mailing to do, what's a lil tube!?!?!?

DYNO
I don't think Jeff's dyno gives the "happiest #s" I've seen...and that's fine with me...
I've never seen a dyno win a race before...
I just got off the phone with Jeff and we will finally run your bike Monday or Tue...
Yes he DID run a 1270 that was built in Jax and it had LESS THAN 170HP... :o
He has also run another one now that also had cams in it...
He said it made "almost 190hp"...
Yes there are things I can do to "pump-up" your motor if it "reads weak"...
I was more worried about your wanting "reliability and drivability" than I was...
getting you "high-end #s" on a dyno...
Now that it has the stock gearing again...it feels pretty darned fast to me...
I've had it to 180mph...just rolling it on in high gear
Was pulling GOOD when I let off
