Ping SWFT (OPP fairings)
SWFT,
I remember you posted a while back that you bought some fairings from http://www.oppracing.com/.
I'm looking to get a set of fiberglass race fairings from them for my 12. Do you have any pictures of the fairings? What's your opinion of the workmanship? Did you use the existing hardware to attach the fairings to your bike? Was it a pain to dril the holes?
I've actually got a bunch more questions, but I'll wait on these answers before I ask the rest.

He ordered the sebimoto stuff and it was junk.

So, they don't make the stuff themselves?? Do they only sell the sebimoto stuff? I mean, are all the fairings they sell for the 12 Sebimoto? Man, I was wondering why the stuff was so cheap.
Can you be a bit more specific about why it was junk?
I'm really glad I asked before ordering these parts..

The pieces didn't fit well at all. They didn't line up well, when we tried to install the stuff it was as if the upper was made for one bike and the lower for another. The finish was rough and crude. I thought they had sent us their molds! You earlier post I pasted the parts and prices for the better stuff that Swft found.

The A-Tech stuff is absolutely top notch. Strong but flexible, light, fits perfect. You do hear a lot more mechanical noise from the bike, tho. Kinda like when you take an old v8 car and strip it out for drag racing or maybe sportsman oval track, with all that sound deadening gone, the bike sounds completely different. I think the stock plastic itself provides some sound deadening that the thinner A-Tech fiberglass does not.
