Looks beautiful Doug. Who's going to ride it? Why not use a slider clutch, aren't they the norm for Pro Mods?

I was hoping a more educated opimion would appear, but as I understand it, a slider is just a badass centifugal clutch. At idle it is disengaged, when you crack the throttle, spring-loaded arms push the clutchpack tight and away you go. They are fast and strong, and only good for WOT.

Don't need to get any more sophisticated than that, Dean. That is exactly right. It has a "stall speed" just like a an automatic transmission. You sit at the line with the engine bleow that speed, the clutch lever is "out". Wack the throttle and when the engine gets to the preset RPM the arms start to apply pressure to the clutch pack and away you go.

Watch the top fuelers. As they slightly add throttle to move forward into the lights and as as they wait for the green the clutch lever is "out". The only thing that they move on the green is the throttle hand. (The cars work this way as well, but you'll notice most of the time they hold the brake until the hit).

No need for a clutch lever at all...
Instead of the springs engaging the clutch...they actualy DIS-engage the clutch...the arms alone engage the clutch when the rpms rise...
I can't remember the last time I saw a ProMod bike (N2O) WITHOUT a slider clutch...
OK...I can remember but...it was several years ago...
