What should I expect? And how to get there!
Guys I would like some of your comments. Especially you guys who race every weekend. Mike, KC, Intra, anyyone else who wants to chime in.
I added several goodies to my bike for this years TXShootout. I would like to know what I should expect as far as time wise out of the bike and I really want to know how I should launch the bike with the extension and new gears. Here is what we have....
I am 5'10" 230
(team fat ass --- oh I mean team muscle ass)
The bike...
2000 ZX12, Muzzy Pipe, PCIII (good map), K&N's, Falicon Billet Clutch Hub, Brand new clutches, 17/48 gears, new chain, 2-7" extension pushed back to about 6 1/2", MPS air shifter, front straps, rear dog bone lowered, & Muzzy Fan. Maybe a few other things but nothing that will really affect the performance.
Last year with no extensions and stock gears with foot shift I could not really get to bike to better than a 10.40 @ 136 or so with 1.75- 1.85 ish 60 foots.
What type of numbers would/should I expect and how should I launch this bike?

I am hoping to find out also...we're about the same size (lol..weight anyways- 6' 225 with leathers ) I've added a 6" ext and a muzzys clutch, Akrapovic pipe, Yosh EMS, BMC filters, strapped front, rear dogbones, gp foot shifting, and a #38 NOS pill. Don't know how many shootouts I'll make, but I'm gonna try to get it mapped at Sabins this Sat. Then take it back to the Motorplex. Best time so far (basically stock) is 10.23@138 After a few passes to get warmed up, I hope to run in the 9.50-60 range. Good luck and let me know how you do.
