Ahhh, 1st ride today!
Woke the bike up last night, she was pretty happy.  After put the battery back in and changed the oil and filter, did a thorough check of everything and she fired up on the second pull. Just went home for lunch and because it's like 65 degrees here today rode back to work. Man it's so easy to forget what real power feels like. Stretched her legs on the e-way a bit, ran her up to 150. Sure did feel good. Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Cool deal, I remember what it was like storing a bike, I didn't always live here.
Well right now I'm in Washington, DC and it's raining but I'll be home and riding tomorrow.

Dave, I am back (Got home last evening)! Enjoying the "Rain"?? Call me, My work number is 202-326-6726. I was hoping to take you for a ride in the Mini "S", and maybe pick up my screwdriver and graphs from Bergie when you were here! I also thought the 2 weeks started this week!

Otis its about time you got off your ass and done some work on the bike.The last couple of time you posted you have had a pine tree or a white oak up your ass.What the fuck?LOL.Glad to hear you had a sunny day to ride i know it was a long winter for you cats up north i'll see you in may.

The Mini "S" rode better than I thought it would and the fuel mileage was OK (27 MPG at 80 & 90, 32 MPG at 70 to 75 and 35 MPH at 65)
2 things, I Really Hate the steering wheel! It needs space on the side to grip it and it tired my hands and the Horn Button cannot be reached easily!
The windshield, while slanted more than the original is still straighter than the other cars and stones get a better bite! I now have about 5 Bulls Eyes and leaving town, a serious stone in a construction site put a 4 inch line on the top of the glass! I think this is going to be a problem for the car! Hopefully, the glass i got was soft, but we will see!
I am not looking for Mud Flaps to keep the dirt off the back of the car in bad weather!
You cannot drive this car if you are too sleepy! It requires too much attention! You can take your hands off the wheel, but any input, the car is going to move! I am still tired from Daytona! Toledo Ohio is Boorring

Do you have a picture of it? If it's what I think it is I saw one on the e-way here yesterday. Well, briefly that is as I was on my 12 for the 1st time this year and went by it rather, uh quickly.

This thread reminds me of the first 60+ degree ride I took this year. I got on the expressway and guess what was running down the road as I merged on; a black C-5 Corvette. Yeah, you know the rest and you also know that my 2000 Blue/Silver Busa was way out in front of that Chevy. I was loving every minute of it. I checked the tach and then it hit me - I needed to take my bike in for the 4000 mile check-up. I rode to a local tuner shop and dropped her off. The shop had a courtesy truck and dropped me off at home. I should be picking her up Monday. Can't wait.

Got the bike back and took her out for a spin today. Weatherman said get ready for some cold Canadien air so I though I'd ride before the wet stuff hit. The bike feels even stronger! Got on the highway and it felt like the thing was going to pull forever! What a machine.
I hope this cold spell doesn't last long. I need to put some more saddle time in.
