MPH OFF

i have a 2000 zx12 i bought from north corolina and it has a 87mm big bore 5mm stroke and cnc port and web cams but my mph is just 145 in the 1/4 what could it be

Dang. You have a 1427 with cams! You should have at least 225 to the back tire. How much do you weigh? How is the bike geared?

forget about doing a compression test, do a LEAK DOWN test. so many things affect a compression test.... compression ratio, valve sealing, rings sealing, cam timing..... a leak down will pinpoint any mechanical problems.

Or you could start with just the basics like listing your weight, your bike's weight.

Also a headwind and hot temps can steal MPH too.

Maybe your tuck sucks.
