More @#$%@# from the French
It's been a rather known fact that the French have helped Saddam with his nuclear program (before the Israelies blew up his reactors).
Now they are saying that if Saddam's troops use chemical weapons on our troops that puts things in a whole new light for them.
You know why?
Because the Bush Doctorine states that, "We will make no division between those who are terrorists and those that help them." Er, well, something like that.
So, given that, if they do use those weapons we'd be really tempted to DO something about it. And France knows it.
I think the reason why France and Germany have dug their heels in on this whole Iraq thing is because they know once we get over there we'll really find the extent to which France and Germany have been helping Saddam - and we ain't gonna like it.
IF (I'm saying IF here)...IF that's the case Bush probably doesn't want to say too much about his suspicions until he has some hard evidence in his hands. Once we are in Baghdad presumably we'll have it.
We are beginning to move troops out of Germany - slowly but surely. We are finding better allies with the new Eastern European states (Bulgaria etc.) than we are France and Germany.
The lines of alliance are being redrawn this year. I suspect by the time this is all over with we'll be in bed with totally new people. Old allies will become new adversaries.
Then we'll have North Korea to deal with. That will really be a test - Saddam's small potatoes compared to those boys.

Legitimate govermants overthrown, leaders assasinated, civilians murdered. On Sept.11 you got a taste of what you have done to the entire world and you didn't like it. I live in a town that sees a lot of Americans come through. I bet 90% of them are good, down to earth people; about the same as any other country. I just heard on the American news that the largest supplier of energy to the US is Canada.
Maybe I better apologize to avoid a diplomatic incident. Wait a minute, in Canada we still have free speech!
By the way newbusa, I find a good test line is the 100# stuff. That way when you hook one of these Rock Cod and they dive to the bottom, you can keep reefin' them to the surface.

We don't assasinate any world leaders!!! We amberassed ourselves so badly in the past that we now have a law that keeps us from doing it anymore.
As for who runs our government, don't have any illusions about the French, Germans, Russians or the Chinese - or Canada for that matter. It's just that some can afford it and some can't. That changes through history as well.

When I was there the French....'scuse me... french/frogs were rude, dirty and used the streets for outhouses.

According to the American Battle Monuments Commission there are 26,255 American dead from World War I buried in 4 cemeteries in France and there is 30,426 American dead from World War II (one being my Uncle) buried in 6 cemeteries in France.
These 56,681 brave American heroes died in their youth to liberate a country which is guilty of shameful, unspeakable behavior in the 21st century.
May the United States of America never forget their sacrifices as we find ways to deal with the Godforsaken, unappreciative, forgetful country of France.

Not that I "love" France, but they do have one social redeeming value! When the British Royal navy was about to do in Washington, it was the Fench Navy than saved Washington and helped this country to get it's freedom! I have no idea of where their Balls went, but on that day, they had them and we are here because of it!
