Nitrous hook up question...

I was told from a friend that since I am going to be already running the air shifter with Nitrous that it is cheap to run a "T" off the line and make a hook up for the motor. What is involved in this? Any articles? What would I need and what would I need to do?

I think what he meant to say was.

Hey since im running nitrous in my airshifter it would be easy to put a T fitting in there and use it as a source for a nitrous kit.

You still need the nitrous kit

you will need about 250-280 bucks in parts since you already have a bottle you're on the way.

You need to "T" into the NO2 BEFORE the pressure regulator for the shifter...I personaly would recomend getting the 2lbs bottle if you have room for it...YCIS can teel you how long 2lbs will last...ONE lb won't last long at all...
You don't need the "kit" if you are running a DryShot into the airbox...
"king" has the list of parts that you will need to hook it up...

Depending on how large a jet you wanna use...a 2lb bottle should last you an "evening" worth of races

How many passes is an 'evening' worth of races? Let's say that I'm conservative and just want to use a small 40 shot? I don't know what size jet that would be.

a 40 shot...which should be somewhere around a 30 - 34 jet for your bike...would last me around 10 "rollon" races (basically going from 2nd to somewhere around 4th or 5th depending on traffic).

In the 8th mile (where I coudl only spray 2nd/3rd) it would last me 15 passes easy.

In the 1/4...you could probably go 5 to 6 passes.

With the 46 jet I have in it now(probably about 70hp)....I usually get 2 full rollon passes and then the pressure drops enough where im no longer getting the full hit...after 3 passes the timing retard is hurting the bike more than the nitrous is helping.
