Open Thread regarding manipulating rear air pressur sensor
I discussed this with Ridge Racer but I don't think it will work. I am attempting to wire an 02 sensor, plumbed into the rear air pressure sensor to allow the bike to adjust fuel based on apparent altitude.( Voltage from the oxygen sensor into the rear IAP sensor)
As you may know the only sensor on the bike to allow it to adjust for changes is the altitude sensor. It will lean out the fuel based on the changes to the IAP sensor. There are two sensors one is in the rear of the bike in the right cowl.
Devices such as the motty tuner and pc5 with the 02 module allow the bike to adjust fuel by telling the bike it is at a high or low altitude. These devices work great. Closed Loop.
I am attempting to find out how much the voltage decreases in the rear air temp sensor per 100 feet of altitude elevation. Based on that using a resistor I (will attempt) to use a narrow band 02 sensor leaving me with 1.30 volts of adjustability. ( 0 to 5 volt sensor. Roughly 3.7 volts at sea level, 5-3.7 volts is 1.3 volts. There is a limited adjustability with this maybe 8%.
Ridge Racer is the expert and this is likely not to work but what he hell...

I got it formula (vdc-.6) divided by .04
3.64 v = sea level
3.508 v = 1000 feet
3.38 v= 2000 feet
3.26 v= 3000 feet
0 to 1000 feet -.132v
1000 to 2000 -.128v
2000 to 3000 -.12v
3000 to 4000 -.112
etc roughly .12v per 1000 feet..
Range of map vs static map is numbers (roughly 26 to 255) altitude sensor has fuel adjustability to roughly 9.8% more or less fuel.

Rear IAP Sensor voltage
1. Bike off key on 3.65 no exhaust probe in rear IAP sensor
2. Bike on idle 3.55
3. Bike in neutral 4000 rpm's 3.64
Probe in. 1/8th inch exhaust probe from mid pipe into 1/8th inch rear IAP Sensor plumbed in..
1A. Bike off 3.65
1B. Bike on idle 3.53
1C. 4,000 rpm in neutral 3.60
1D. 6000 rpm in neutral 3.58
Front IAP Sensor
2. Bike off key on 3.67
2A. Bike at idle 2.79
2C. 4000 rpm bike in neutral 2.62
cmhg formula: cmHg = (Volts -0.6) * 25
Throttle Position Sensor Center wire green
Idle 1.02 volts
4000 rpms 1.16 volts
