Who else had to work?
I had to work Thanksgiving Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Well, work might be a strong word for it but I still have to spend 12 hours there each day.

I'm kinda like 12RPilot. Since they started giving us show up pay, I just hang around! Besides, somebody has to keep the lights on!!!!! My long week-end will be spent right here.
The only thing worst than going to work is having to work when you get there.

I had to work 8 hours both yesterday and today....can't complain too much tho, they are paying me $53/hour. When I start wishing I was somewhere else, I count up how much money thay are paying me for 2 days work.
I also get to work Saturday and Sunday, but they are at regular pay.

I work at a Goodyear plant that is as old as a fossil. Gas turbines for steam and power. Throw in a little compressed air and some cooling water and everyone is happy. The good part is I'm there alone, whole plant to myself. Can you say machine shop? Sure. I knew you could.

Hey 12RPilot,
I got the same set-up except I work at a hydro plant.
Evening shifts I'm "home alone" for some serious tinkering. Full machine and electric shop just for the asking.....and I ask alot! I love the quality time.

So...technically, you are under the water line? That would freak me out.I've seen so many bursting dam documentaries on the Discovery channel. I remember fishing below the Teton Dam and on Bull Shoals Lake and Lake Norfolk in Arkansas. Was nervous every time. Silly, I know.

One dam I work at has 400 feet of water behind you, I took a bunch of 12 riders there during the Deals Gap Rally. It's built like Hoover Dam except it's only 480 feet high instead of 726!

Me too, 12 hrs. I'm a power plant CRO(control room operator) for a paper mill. And Thanksgiving was my BIRTHDAY too. Grrr. The worst part was it was really nice out, 50 deg and sunny. Now its rain and snow for a week, might as well winterize the bikes.
BTW, Dan, thanks for the tour of the dam.

Scooter,
What happened to Greg1040? Is your Dad doing OK?
Hope you guys can make it back down this Spring again.
My bike doesn't look like your Dads anymore, I went
to silver bodywork. Don't really know if I like it any
better or not...just different.
Good to hear from you.

Hmm seems a profile edit is in order.
Greg1040 is my ZRXOA username. It was the same on the EZ board set up so I just kept it. My ZRX plate says SKUTR. Dad's doing good. I may go to silver myself. I got a line on some cheapslightly damaged bodywork. May do it up in black. Who knows.
