GDammit
printroom doesn't seem to allow linking anymore.
Epson photo center (Free with scanner) doesn't seem to allow linking.
I joined Sony Imagestation like the rules under "Add Pictures" says for this site, and I guess I don't know how to find a link that works from Sony's site.
WTF. Any suggestions?

So, now the inevitable question............ WTF?????
I think this HAD to happen after season was over, and on the last "decent" day we had out here when I took her for a spin. Nothing unusual, but one very serious incident of a tankslapper. Not Headshake. Full-on ass-end moving back-and-forth, uncontrollable bar to tank action, tankslapper. I went straight home after that little episode!! I'm lucky I didn't lay it down, cuz it was very, very close.
I remember the bike being leaned over to the right at one point, clip'ons to the right, ass-end to the right, and me staring at the ground, which seemed much closer than it should have been.
So what could have caused the damage above? Broken wheel-bearing start this? As you can see, my "cush-drive" shit is coming out, which caused the sprocket bolts to touch the swingarm.
The axle nut is tight, in the right place, etc. How on earth did the cush-drive work it's way out?!?! Was it that tank slapper?

hrmmm mine has a spacer, nomatter what happens with all the spacers properly installed the cush drive can NEVER come apart.
was there perhaps a piece missing in assembly, and the rubber pieces finally worked loose? i know mine are an absolute BEAR to get free of the rim. so plausible it could have stayed that way for a while.
did someone do any work on it (new tires near that time for isntance?)

No tire changes recently.
This is actually my "spare rim" with a Schinko on it. It's been on since about October 1 2002. It's been drag raced many, m any times since then too.
I know that spacer you're referring to. I know it well. I can't see it there now, but it's ugly up in there. I'll have to disassemble to be sure.
I feel 100% sure I put it back on with the last tire change. If I wouldn't have, it would have been right there on the garage floor afterwards. A very noticeable thing for me, so I feel pretty confident it was there.
I was thinking, as sounds like happened to Freek, that if a bearing goes, and chunks, the rear rim might wobble on the axle. If that happens, it seems that the spacer might get chewed up or busted.

That royally sucks BA!
Does anyone here replace their bearings after a certain mileage or do you all just give them a feel at tire change time like I do?

We stopped using the aluminum wheel spacers on our red and green 12Rs because they were starting to fail. Extreme wear. Did you have the aluminum pieces in or the stock steel spacers? Also another incident happened when Rich left out one of the spacers by accident on a wheel change, he actually rode up Skyline Drive (our local mountain roads) for an entire afternoon before finding the cause of the "wobblie feeling" he was getting in the twisties! He found the spacer was missing and the wheel was chewing into the swingarm. Be sure to snap some better pics tomorrow when you tear it down so we can see what happened.

Dude.....
That is some scary looking stuff. That could have easily caused a NASTY get off. I hope you get the bike lined out asap.

Well.. I thought I had more than I did....all I seem to have is the rear axle...how much is it worth? You can have it for 20 bucks? (or is it cheaper than that)
