chain lube

Anyone have a favorite chain lube that won't completely gunk up my swing arm?

My preferences:

Oil: Mobil MX4T
Chain Lube: PJ1 Black or Blue

Note: Currently I'm using PJ1 Blue. It works well if applied correctly (applying correctly greatly reduces sling-off). I selected it over the Black because the Blue is supposed to be specifically for O-Ring type chains. The Black is supposed to be for non O-Ring chains. However, the article the I refered to above says that the Black is also O-Ring safe. So, I might give the black a try the next time I go and buy a can.

The Pro Honda HP Lube has a better score than PJ1 in the sling off category.

Proper application is important in reducing sling off. Things that I focus on when applying lube:

- chain has been properly cleaned and dried
- chain is warm before applying lube
- only enough lube is applied to get the job done (too much lube will greatly increase sling off)
- lube is allowed enough time to set (to allow the solvents to evaporate)
