turbo diesel pickups to haul yer' bikes

...how's that for making it bike-related?...anyway...I test-drove a 2003 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 Extended-cab Duramax w/Allison 5-speed...I drove it as most people who drive these things do, on the pavement...I like it...I'd wish for a crewcab longbed, but my garage barely fits the X-cab...ultimate penis extender would be a 3500 Duelie 4x4 longbed version

...who out there drives on (or something similar in a Ford or Dodge?)...what can you tell me without bashing each other about who makes the best diesel pickup?...I'm very much a Chevy-man, but I do know and realize that the blue oval and ram have great rigs, too....

...then there's the 8.1 gas engine w/Allison 5-speed...hmmm

I drive a 1 ton Dodge Cummins 4X4. Absolutely love it. My best friend and race partner has the 3/4 ton Chevy crew cab Duramax with the Allison. Very quite, drives nice, seems to have good power, the transmission has some nice features that provide some kind of compression braking etc. The Chevy is a nice rig. I find the cab crampeded for width. If you are chevy guy the Dura Max makes Chevy a good option.

Do not waste your money on a gas rig if you are thinking about towing etc. I had a V10 Dodge fun truck but nothing like the Cummins. And the gas truck guys may argue but hook up any load and start at the bottom of the hill and run to the top. And the big gas engines are horrible when it comes to milage. My 1 ton 4X4 gets almost 20 miles to the gallon.

...damn, pastor...ya made me read all that info ..hey zoo...I likes yer friend's truck's specs...I was really surprised on how smooth and 'quiet' the Duramax drove...what's the word on chips, exhaust, intake, etc. to make it even better without sacrificing a whole lot (except maybe burning rubber )
