Cruztools OUTBACK'R , is it any good?
quote: OUTBACK'R M14 Folding Metric Tool Set (NEW!)
Want lots of functionality in a small and light package at low cost? Then look no further. The Outback'r provides 14 tools - four hex keys, two screwdrivers, a socket driver with 8, 10, and 12mm sockets, 13 and 14mm open-end wrenches, and three spoke wrenches - all in a nine ounce unit that measures only 3.5" long. While any tool is in use, the rest remain folded into the handle which can be used for leverage over a range of angles. Except for the sockets, all pieces are permanently attached so there's no need to worry about losing small items. Precision made using heat-treated chrome vanadium and carbon steel.
OM14 $19.95 OFFSHORE PRODUCED

After my get off going to Laguna it became very clear the oem toolkit is lacking. Luckily a riding partner had brought along a small tool set he bought somewhere that was able to supplement our tool kits.
Since that time I have been looking at different options to be able to have a few sockets along for hopefully that never again needed moment.
This tool looks like it might be a usefull addition, but what worries me is the last words"OFFSHORE PRODUCED". Seems like most offshore tools are cheap crap.
Does anyone know if this tool is worth buying or is it crap?

on roadtrips I am carrying the real things now... seems like it's not that big a deal to take a ratchet and 6-14mm plus a set of a.keys .

I agree with you on this one Fish. For road trips, nothing can substitute for real wrenches, screw drivers and sockets. One thing if you are handy with your hands Ozzy and can weld, one trick I have used over the years has been to take certain wrenches and cut them in half and weld them back together in a different configuration. i.e. weld a 8 mm box end to a 10 mm open end, 12 to a 14 etc. If you study it well you can create some really handy tools and do it with about 4 wrenches. I did this with my dirtbikes. As an old ISDT (now ISDE) rider believe me you learn how to wrench with minimal tools, in really crap conditions.

Do you know Dan Dillon? He rode ISDT for a number of years. He was an alternate on US Team, they won a silver that year. He had a small Penton shop which evolved into a small KTM shop in north Spokane.
