New member, but not new to zx12r
I am new to this forum. In 2000 I bought my first zx12r, let it go and have jonesed for another one ever since. Well I just got another one. 2000 zx12r w/ 4700 miles, green of course, only mod is scorpion b/o.
I had a Hindle high mount race pipe on my other one, is this still available anywhere?
Any links for mods appreciated like:
Rear seat hinge bracket
Any trouble things that need attention.

Always amazes me that a bike >10 years old can have so few miles. Must have lived pretty close to the starbucks.
Not seeing listings for a high mount from Hindle/Brock, Area P, or Muzzys. May have to get a used one if you can. Or just call/email them and ask.
For the seat hinge, PM Dino.
Main thing to look for is oil leaking into and ruining the big plug right by the rectifier. Lost more to you can do by reading old stuff here. Personally I think one of the biggest should be the ECU mod by RIdgeRacer.

Welcome. I alsobought another one 2 years ago with only 12k km(7.5k miles) after the first one had 120k km(75k miles). And yes that oil getting to the rectifier plug. Has happened to both my bikes. They had a recall on it but I've found that only by sealing it with soldering irons has helped me. And after playing this summer with the ECU tuning I've finally get rid of the vibrations near 4k rpms. Here I have alleady put my bike to rest for the winter but still have some maintenance to do. And also change the fork oils if they haven't been changed in a while...

Upgrade the clutch/basket if you come out the hole hard or clutch up wheelies.
Hindle will be harder to find nowadays, old bike now. Might have one sitting on a shelf, maybe street and competition still has one?
Steering damper would be a good idea and I think there was also a recall for the metal valve stems too, not just the volt reg.

And also the fuel tank could start leaking if the recall wasn't done. Happened to my first because it was ridden so much before the recall came. Also on some very early ones the fuel tank meter had to be changed...

All recaps have been done already, but the valve cap (no biggy) and the oil getting to voltage regulator. Repair for this is making permanent connections and heat shrinking, correct?

Not valve caps, valve STEMS. If they fail it could be catastrophic. Replacing is cheap and easy of course.
