they probably just haven't tested it yet on the newer bikes; I believe they are basically the same? (I thought I heard of a triple clamp change in 02' ??)

I still like my Muzzy dampener...

Editorial note: it's neither "dampner" nor "dampener" - it's damper........

Sorry, couldn't help myself....

I know that Muzzys makes 2 different mounts for the 00/01 & the 02. So be careful

The 2002 (and likely the 2003) have a slight thicker upper tripleclamp. That is why Muzzys has modified their kit for the 2002 model, it wouldn't clear without grinding on the triple. Since the Scotts mounts to the upper triple it's likely they too need a different design to compensate for this thicker squared-off upper tripleclamp on the 2002+ models.

I know the reason because I recently went to a place in Cleveland to get my bike chromed (will post pics when I get it back) and the guy said he had a chrome triple up there and when they went to put it on the off-set where the forks come up is drastically different...that's probably why they said they didn't have one for your bike....2002 and 2003 are the same...2000, 2001 are different

(off topic I know but)

brings up the question why?

I remember seeing someone mention it someplace (02' roadtest maybe?), but don't remember why KAW changed it.

Which brings up the question how come none of you rich guys have tried a set of clamps on an 00'/01' yet?

Good question. I have both sets here in the garage, the 02 is thicker therefore likely stronger... to reduce fork flexing maybe?
