need help!

So my 01 12 left me on the side of the road without warning.
After an inspection I'm finding that there's no ground to the fuel pump relay. Ran a seperate ground wire to the (brown with yellow strip) wire to the relay and the pump works. Checked the relay itself and its fine. Checked the codes and it gave me a (45) which fuel pump relay wiring open.. Opened the harness and followed the wire to the ecu and can't find breaks or wear. All fuses ok... not sure what else it could be. A ground wire shorted out a couple of weeks ago on my NLR and I fried a coil, fixed that and put a couple hundred miles on after. This just stopped like a blown fuse, no hints of trouble and no intermittent.

tried everything I can think of, I suck at reading wiring diagrams, any help would be greatly appreciated.
