It's fucking sleeting if you must know!! Roads are patched ice, but Sunday it was warm and sunny long enough for a ride. AR has some funny weather for sure!!

I got a track day coming up in a couple of weeks and I'd like to get at least a little riding in before I go. I haven't got to ride in over a month. Now this...
The streets are fairly clear, but here's our forecast,
Tonight. Cold. Cloudy. A chance of sleet. Snow. Or freezing rain after midnight. An inch or less of snow accumulation. Temperatures steady in the mid 20s. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.
Wednesday. Cloudy with a chance of sleet. Snow. Or freezing rain. Total accumulation. Up to 1 inch. Continued cold with highs in the lower 30s. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.
Wednesday night. Freezing rain or rain likely. Temperatures steady in the lower 30s. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.
Even with a 4x4, it's pretty useless on ice. Rain is forecasted for most of the weekend. At least it will wash most of the sand off the roads.
This is ARKANSAS, damn it! This shit isn't supposed to happen so close to MARCH! How about that "Global Warming", eh?

No sympathy from me. 
It was 20 below with no wind chill when I posted that. Came home his morning to frozen pipes. Spent 2 hrs thawing out so the wife & kids could shower. This after working 12 hr night shift.
EDIT: ...and i aint rode since OCTOBER.

Scooter,
Obviously you are showing your utter lack of rational thought by:
1. Living somewhere where you can have weather that's -20
2. Living somewhere with a very short riding season
3. Working a 12 hr night shift
4. Having a wife and kids, and presumably, no mistress for laying YOUR pipe. 
Elk and I have consciously avoided number 1 and 2. So yeah, we're getting the shit end of the stick right now. We could get radical about the weather like our breathern in Florida, but the roads are notoriously lacking in directional changes.
Can't really comment for 3&4 for either one of us...
Oh, Elk. Global warming is a general trend that leads to CHAOS in the weather patterns. (Oh, God. Here come the 1,000 word essays from the Pastor. But I just had to do it).

JW, it's 20 below again this morning. Actually up to -5 now at 9:00.
Wife and I are still on the honeymoon 15 yrs later.(slept in this morning  )
And just for the record, I'm from about 3 hrs south of you. Grew up in Crossett. Ooooo, Pig Sooie!!

Not quite as bad as the ice storms of 2000, but first the snow and now this,
On the side streets, this looks like slush, but it's actually just solid ice. Most of the interstates are slushy with the exceptions of the bridges (of course). Ah, but relief is in sight. It will be in the low 40's tomorrow and all this crap will go away.
