Muzzys Aluminum Fans
Are the aluminum fans a direct replacement for the stock fans, i've heard people say they had to shave them or something. They look like they would fit right in to me.

They don't break, but mine started to melt, these don't. Also the way the fan is made it moves more air so they cool better than stock.

Dittos to what Dave said. If you have a ti header the plastic fan is especially prone to melting!

I have heard, but I dont know if it is true, but the aluminum fans move more air as well...??? and dont distort due to the heat...I will put a set on. But I have also heard that they make a bit more noise than the plastics???

The aluminum fans are a direct replacement on the ZX-12. There are no clearance issues. I had to shave a bit off the fan blades on my '86 Ninja1000R because there were minor clearance issues there. But, on the 12, it's a cherry fit.

Come in out of the sun a little more often, I just said they move more air and don't melt.
I never noticed more noise, but with more air moving there may be a little more noise. If you're wearing a helmet and have a pipe you'll never know.
