help me... i just wanna win
i still have the motor from my 2004 zx12r its been siting for 2 years here are the several questions i need answered
im 5'11 and weigh 209 pounds he's 6'2 every bit of 250
1/4 race and a 9/10 race both from a dig
1.who should i send my motor to for a "freshen up"
2. about how much would it cost to put a 2004 motor into a 2000 chassis?
3. would it be in my best interest to stroke the motor or go with say a nitrous set up3
4. what size nitrous setup should i run
5. would it be better to run a dry or a wet set up?
friend of mine has a "moutain motor" hayabusa not sure wtf that it but its obviously a big bore kit and im really getting tired of him running around saying he's this and he's that

bring yr bike to Sal at ACE Performance, ONLY place to go, especially if you are near 9/10's
i'm 6'3", 230# and used to run a maxxed out NA ZX12, 230-240hp.
when i was drag racing i was consistently 8.8's, mid-hi 150'smph.
Then i turned to Mile LSR.
now i have 2 "mountain motor" (1635cc) Busas for LSR.
My Busa is consistently 15mph faster in the Mile than my ZX12 was.
If that guy truly has a well built/tuned 1635 and can ride, you are gonna have to spray the house down.
DO IT!!!!

shipping a motor is as easy as pie.
1. go get a pallet. I got one at Northern Tool, they had a ton of them out back, trash. They gave me one.
2. empty fluids, strap the motor to the pallet. I used the same type of ratcheting strap i hold my bike down with in the trailer.
3. call a freight company, they will tell you what they need for paperwork, etc, and they'll pick it up at yr house.
yup, i beat the livin' shit out of my 1427 ZX12 for 10 years!
Loved that bike!

I have the late style motor in my bike now. you need to drill and tap the head for the early style mounts. I posted a pic not too long ago.
Sals 1287 R spec motor with a nice little dry shot, and R&D trans = win!

First thing you need is a baseline run when you get it all back, hit me up, we'll go practice and see how you're doing...and see how much you've left on the table in terms of mph so you know more you can expect.
Do the spray first for the most bang for the buck but bue conservative.
Lighter wheel and bearing same time.
Spray will cost less and get you farther but the lighter wheels/bearings ALWAYS help regardless of bottle pressure ;-)
