209.3 hp SAE with TiForce. Idles well and ride around town in 4 and 5th gear at low rpms without a hickup. Oh yeah it also makes 256 hp SAE on the juice.

that question is as old as the Pastor himself.....and from what I gathered on here...you will get as many different opinions as you will responses...so I will put my .02 in first:
1. Muzzy
2. Akro
3.Ti Force
4.Hindle
just my opinion, if I remember right, someone has posted previously that those pipes make good power with hte 12, I have a Muzzy Ti can and stainless header on mine..I prolly would have went with Akro( they sound mean) but are a bit pricey...just my thoughts....NEXT.....

My .02 cents:
Muzzy
Akro
Tsukigi
Hindle
etc. etc...
Why? Muzzys are the folks who support us; we need to support them.
Akro? If you want less noise than the Muzzys, here's your choice. I've got one on mine; & the only reason is I got a super deal on it from a distributor at the time.
Tsukigi? KAW only Japanese company that makes all kinds of great stuff for KAW bikes. I think their pipe w/choice of baffles is one of the best made; it's also one of the most expensive- but it's quality components.
Hindle? Dont' know much about this one; just seems like lots of the users of this system have them; & everyone seems to like them...

I have an Akro on mine. It makes less noise than the Muzzy and the welds are much nicer. Muzzy does do a fine job on supporting us, especially Doug Meyer. If I wasn't worried about the noise level, I'd have a Muzzy.

Akro here for the same reason. I thought the Muzzy was too loud.

I don't really like loud but i don't like quiet either...but I heard the harder you rev an Akro...the meaner it sounds, is this correct. Once i choose and exhaust the i have to decide on a PC3 or the PC3R...then the map....gosh, i wish i had my ZX11 back...jet the carbs and go... Anyone have a good Akro map...need more feedback.

I have a good map for a 2002 zx12r with Akro, pc3r and k&n filters. I also removed the kleen system (for track use only thank you) before having the bike tuned. My understanding is that you get less backfires with the kleen off.

hey Busa Killer...I have used a number of maps that I have gotten from Doug and from others...I have found some good ones, but not the right one..I will take my bike when I get home to a reputable shop(I.E. kcadby) and have him make a custom map for me, to make it perfect...
After spending 1100 on a pipe, and 300 for a PC, and another hundred for filters, another 50 for a timing advance...why not plop down 2 more bills on a map made for your bike??? I asked myself that question, and I am going to get it done....makes sense to me....

One thing many may not realize; Muzzys has a nice "quiet" baffle for sale also that is available on request...

don't even waste your time with a pipe unless you just want noise or a better look. run deep into the nines then worry about improving h.p.

It is unthinkable to have a sportbike and not change the exhaust!!! The next thing you will be saying is don't make any mods, or do an undetail, or change the turn signals, or put carbon fiiber things on it!! Where is my Garlic and crosses to ward off the bad spirits!!!

Do I have to do the timming advance thing? Is that the little thing that looks like a mini rotor. I had a ignition advancer on my 11 is it bascially the same thing?

hey ZHOO, read the post, i didn't say not to mod, i just said that to go fast a pipe is not the answer. If he truely wants to be a busa killer then spend your money on practice and clutch packs. I personally love to mod everything i own but only after i have tapped into the real potential of what i bought. I've raced for 2 seasons now with my 12, only been beat by two bikes in a heads up race. One is Mad Mike and he has a full boogie type system, slammed, sidewinder, air shift, 6" over, stripped, and last time out he had me by just over one tenth,WOW, there is also a busa in town here thats slammed, piped, cams, stripped, about four hours on the dyno and he only has me by a tenth also, so for now, i'm going to slam mine and take off the mirrors and see if I can gain a little more. Only after i'm exausted will i spring for a rediculously priced pipe and that will be for weight as much as power. Hope this clears things up a touch. Pop a wheely. Robb

Muzzy, Akro, Hindle are what I like best...
I have NOT seen more power out of the Serpent pipes...even with full mapping...
You need to find a shop with a DynoJet dyno and Tunnning Link software for the best FULL Custom map...
They list ALL of the Tunning Link Certified dyno owners on they're WebSite...

OK Kevin, what have the results been with the Hindle piped 12's you've run
on your Dyno? Is there any advantage for the Hindle over the Muzzy in the mid-range or top end?

Best exhaust
Guys,
This argument has been on almost every forum available. Most of the big names are within 1-4 HP of each other. A lot of guys (or gals) are getting good results with the Hindle stepped exhaust. I posted a thread on LABUSAS website and got a lot of good responses. I haven't made up my mind yet...but time is running out!!
Here's the URL for the thread. http://www.labusas.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25869

Busakiller...a timing advance is not a mandatory piece...But what the hell. In the search for more power ( bows head in remembrence of "Tim the toolman Taylor") why the hell not? its not expensive, and its one more thing you can brag about.
As for getting the potiential out of a bike before doing mods to it??? I dont drag my bike much. I use mine for twisties, and I will NEVER get the most out of the bike. My gonads arent that big! ! ! But when I can rattle off a laundry list of go fast goodies, and look good goodies, I will be happy. For me its a way to personalize my bike, nothing more...anyone can have a 12, but noone can have one like mine. When I see one like mine, its time to change it some.....guess its just the rebel in me....lmao

Wow, just reading this post I picked up some pointers. When I get my 12R I probably won't advance the timing but I do plan on getting a full Muzzy exhaust and a PCIII. I also plan to take it to a performance shop and have them do their thing to match everything up perfectly. Maybe I'll even go with filters. My goal is 180 horses to the wheel. I think that's a very attainable goal since I'm already starting with 160 bhp.

It is possible to get your 180. Pretty common for 175 with a pipe, PCIIIr and a K&N filter.
Hey bkrfstmn I was being a smart ass. Thought my post was pretty clear about that!
