2001 ZX-12 won't start - What am I missing?
So, my bike has been sitting in my garage for over a year. (Life and work got in the way.) The original battery was dead, so I replaced it with a brand new Interstate battery. I turn on the key, and the instrument panel cycles, but I don't hear the fuel pump priming. I press the starter button, and nothing happens. The bike is in neutral, and the same nothing happens if I pull in the clutch lever when pressing the starter button.
All the lights work, and the brand new battery is still strong, but not even a click when I press the starter button.
I checked all the fuses, and they're all good. (30A main fuse, all the 10A fuses in the fuse box, and the 15A fuse sitting near the fuse box.)
What am I missing? Could a dead Power Commander cause this problem? Should I try disconnecting that?
Any other ideas?

I thought about the tip over sensor, so I put the ECU in self-diagnosis mode. It indicated ZERO faults.
I'm still totally stumped here.

Yup, that was the first thing I checked. Sorry, I forgot to mention it.

Verify the neutral light is on. Did you try with kickstand up?

Thanks for the ideas guys. I have an NLR engine kill that I wired into the bike a long time ago for my air shifter. To make it work with the 12, I had to wire in a relay as well. That bypassed almost all of the interlocks. (or so I thought.) When the bike was running, the neutral interlock and the kickstand interlock were both bypassed.
Tail light fuse? Is that one of the 10A fuses in the fuse box? Or, is that a separate fuse somewhere else?
I haven't had any time to work on the bike this week, but it's quickly looking like I'm gonna have to just go through the entire interlock system with a meter to find where the problem is.
Right now, I'm thinking that my main kill switch might be bad. But, I wired in so much other stuff over the years, that it may be any number of them.
I just don't see how it could go bad just sitting there in my garage.
