i was thinkin to change em last service (about 30,000kms i think), but the dealer said they'r rated for 40,000kms, so i skipped that rather expensive bit of maintenance. i dont remember if they actually pulled them to do a inspection tho. i think they did.

People get mad about what the plugs cost, but when you factor in the qulaity and lifespan they aren't that bad of a deal!

Well...I think its the cost compared to what normal automotive plugs cost thats annoying.
Very limited selection = insane price.
Im REALLY happy with running my CR10EK plugs...at less than 6 bucks each.

wel, they'r pretty $$$ up here at least zhool. $60CDN a pop if i remember correctly. that's almost a rear tire! course, given what they do & how long they last, thats a relatively good deal, but it's the relative cost to regular plugs like YCIS said. esp when they dont appear to offer much in the way of benefits over cheaper plugs, far as i know at least.

I changed the first plugs after 54k(km)(=34k miles). Then they were in very good shape, but I thougt that it was time to change them before they get bad. And also because in cars these kind of plugs (platinium) are rated for 100000km(63k miles) I thought that because ZX12 takes 12000rpm in red line and usual car 6000rpm so I'd cut the interval to half. But as I said after 54000km they performed good and didn't notice anything after changed them.

i change plugs at every other oil change, bout 6000 miles.....prolly excessive, but I like to check them and how they are burning, adn as long as I hve them out...might as well put new ones in......

Had local O'Reilly auto parts order them in one day for half of dealer's price. My dealer fouled plug at first service and said it would be about 200 to fix. I replaced them myself, not too bad to do.
