That's ok Fish
Just tell them you were friction sawing. For those that might not know , when you need to cut something very hard on the bandsaw you turn the blade around jack up the speed to wide open (the faster the better)and you can cut a file in half if you were to need to , or fish's head.I don't know which would be harder!

Hehehe, Gotta love it.
I bought a Chain Saw at a garage sale last summer for $10.
It had compression so I figured I couldn't go wrong for $10. Got it home, it started and ran like a champ.... chain was on backwards. lmao

what happened was the trees and bushes I am cutting have tons of metal wrapped in them from the previous homeowner (tons!) .. like bailing wire, aircraft wire.. phone wire.. .you name it .. it's in there.... . I guess instead of trimming shit, he just tied it up with whatever he had lying around...
so needless to say metal and the chainsaw dont mix too well... Every 10 mins or so the chain gets whacked off the bar from contacting some misc metal...
I guess out of frustration I just stopped paying attention altogether with regards to how the chain went back on... seemed like I'd taken it apart and put it back together so many times that I just plain forgot to check...
it's a bit of a good lesson though.. no matter how familiar you are with something it's always important to check the most basic things, as those are the ones that tend to fall through the cracks.

Reminds me of a story-
One time when I was a kid, some friends were trying to drill a hole in a set of handle bar clamps for a light on a 3 wheeler, they spent about an hour trying to drill the hole thinking the drillbit wasn't sharp.. When one got tired another went over to take over and realized immediately that the drill was spinning in reverse! Once the button was flipped to correct it took 4~5 seconds to drill the hole
