Duc to race GP!
"Ducati Motor Holding SpA has decided to task its dedicated racing division, Ducati Corse, with the task of designing a four-stroke prototype. The resulting machines will take part in the Grand Prix World Championship in the near future."

Yep, they'll get slaughtered.If they would have let 1000cc bikes run with them before they would have already had their asses handed to them already!
I do like the look and sound of Ducati's.I am not rich nor would I want to have to maintain one. I prefer riding to working on bikes.

GP vs. WSB
World of difference between the two. & 4 stroke liter bikes should race against 4 stroke liter bikes. Not the 750-4 vs. liter-twin stuff. 190HP isn't going to cut it against 220-240HP 4's & 5's
It will be very fun to watch!!!

What are those red bikes at the back of the pack?
Ducati's of course!I don't think it will be the 5 cyl hondas. I agree with speedgeek.Race them cc's for cc's ,If your brand won't be competitive TFB!

I am an inline 4 kind of guy and agree that the 1000cc V-twins should race against 1000cc 4's. However, the GP Duc will probably make more hp than the WSB Duc @ 190hp. Also, with less weight than the 4 & 5 Cyl GP Bikes, things should be interesting at the tighter tracks. Also, don't forget about tire wear with the big bikes.
I am just waiting to see what Kawasaki is going to do for the GP class. There are rumors of a V-Four GP Bike.
