1270 overheat issues,

Now i'm sure kawasaki figured that the 00-01 models where in trouble that is why they came out with the dual fans, but i have a 1270 that runs up in the temp really quick in traffic, even on an 80 degree day, n boy, dont stall out cause it will not crank the motor over til it cools, smh, i run engine ice and a hit of water wetter, i have a manual switch hooked up to the hazard light as well as the automatic, does anywone run evans in their bikes n what do you think bout taking out the thermostat, also a bike tuned a lil to lean at idle would run hotter quicker to right?

As long as the fan is kicking on it`s doing it`s job....But if the needle goes directly to 11.0`clock,theres a problem....Mine gets hot around town but I keep the fan blowing until I get out of town just to be safe.....

I have a 1375, with an extra row on the radiator (single fan), it helps a ton. Not cheap.............but cheaper than cooking your motor. I live in Austin, TX..............so we do have both heat and traffic here.
Find a local radiator company to do one up, shop around too. Prices I found were from $350 to $800, but I figure most of the high prices were just people that didn't realy want to do it. I had to trim the inside portion of the plastic, but you realy can't tell. Be sure they space your mount brackets and hose pipes. Runs great JohnnyCheese Built! It's been over 200mph often.
