Pics of Frank Adams Mod Brake Bracket

I Specially like the careful alignment and Squared off edges on the first piece!

Please notice the "Excellent" Penetration of the weld

Beautiful workmanship to say the most! No effort to weld all 4 sided, might have caused a Strength Problem! (It would have had some ), but I guess to machine it square with the "Grinder" might have taken too much time when doing (Per Frank Adams) "Free Work"!

Anyone ever wonder why you "May" be better off by NOT sending something back as several people sent me e-mails, now we all know why!

I do not know if the pictures can do this justice, but anyone ever weld Aluminum without at least wire Brushing the paint away? This is what you get. From what I understand is Frank sends his welding out. This I think he did himself :dwn: :dwn:

Not to mention the stresses under braking with the leverage point so close to the Axle pivot. I will be getting a new bracket and mounting an internally threaded tubing made out of Chromolly with Heim Joints attached to the Swing arm. If I have time, I will do this and post! I have wasted 3 weeks now and time is running out!

TB, Please send my your Brake Bracket. As you can see, I really need it now!

I am trying Black Rainbow this time. Let me know if you can see them

After looking at the pics and reading the response from Frank, I want to apologize to Vincent because when all of this started I actually thought that he had just run out of Geritol and Stool Softener and was a little grumpy.

Actually it just seems that Vince is a perfectionist and expects the same from others that do work for him. Nothing wrong with that for sure. A person should get a product that is satisfactory to him or he should receive a refund. Instead Vince gets a bunch of empty threats about being sued. I will never buy any product from Frank Adams unless he makes this right and apologizes to Vincent for his comments.

The first rule of business should be that the customer is always right!

Ask for a complete refund and stock arm exchange. That is really just about the only option left to correct this situation.

Thanks Freek! I did not know how to post the pics directly Print room Gone and Tried Image Station

The deal is, I am finished. I went out and bought 2 heim Joints a length of tubing and will make a brake reaction rod tomorrow and mount it that way. Like is said, I am having some stickers made for the arm and will gring off his initials. Someone posted that I am a Perfectionist! actually "Perfection is the Least form of Imperfection I can tolerate". I have no problem when people do their best. This was not even close!

I do not need an apology, All I asked him to do was tell the truth! #1, I asked for a "0" to 6 inch arm. #2, He stated that it would be between 1/2 to 3/4" and 6 inches. #3, That I did not get what I paid for.

Of course, none of this will ever happen! I did not want or ask for my money back, I asked to have it made right!

Short story. I was at the Red Lobster on A1A in Daytona close to the South end Bridge. I order Blacken Grouper. It came out Baked. I told the waiter and was later told that they had no more Grouper. They asked me for second choice and I ordered Salmon. When the Bill came, they did not charge either of us and the Manager came over. I demanded to pay and they refused. I then gave the waiter a $20 tip, just to show that it was not about the money! With me, it is never about the money, it is always about Quality.

Even now, I have several sets of Stacks that I will not sell because the finish was messed up by the anodizer. After testing them (Bergie on the 22nd) then I will sell them provided they make the same HP, but for $5 less per stack(-$20.00). Fair is Fair! In this case, it was not fair period
