It's not hard...
The instructions have pictures...if you got it from Muzzys..
No way to get ALL the gas out of the tank so be carefull when you take the pump/plate off
I can't think of anything important to tell you about it...
The bike WILL run rich...

I hope you didn't pay too much for the pump. Yamamutt at Labusas can get them for $89. Check it: http://www.labusas.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=26925

Easy to do. Good luck not getting gas on yourself! What ever happened to petcocks at the lowest point in the tank?

How much of this is true?
I have not seem the zx12 fuel pump or the muzzy pump,
but if the auto part is a direct replacement it only makes
sense to do it. Did anyone get the part number?
The pump is on the "I want one of those list", but moma makes
me live on a budget.

Why is everyone so hush hush about this fuel pump.
I support muzzy too, when i have a need and they have the best product at the best price. Would you be so quite if it were a YOSH selling the pump
and you could buy one from Autozone?
No offense to doug or muzzy, but we have ALWAYS shared info like this
and blasted other who didn't.

No problem, We've never tried to hide the fact that we source parts from other manufacturers. The point is that we are suppliing a "kit". Sometimes they are simple things, sometimes complex. You get some stuff, with the kit you would have to source or figure out on your own. I don't know what PN YAmadog is referring to. It may or may not be the same as the one we use. The one we sell is NOT a "direct replacement". It is a generic pump that, if your follow the instructions and use the material we supply, will fit in the stock "space".

So just out of curiosity...what else comes in the "kit" besides the pump.
Homeslice on the other board was making it seem like the pump itself was a plug and play sort of thing.

Actually in regards to my stance on running with scissors is and interesting question. because in a sense that is my motto! A good friend of mine has that bumper sticker and it is how I explain myself when I push the envelope!
The pump is plug and play. Very easy to install. Pull the tank, drain it as best as you can, pull the pump, unbolt unplug, plug back in bolt up etc. Pretty easy. Oh did I forget to mention, take the rear seat off, unbolt the seat, remove seat, take the tank cowl off yada yada yada!

YCIS,
The correct pump, a piece of hose, hose clamps, a new style filter,a new male plug (you need this to plug and play) and connectors that mates to the pump, some instructions on the best way to make it all fit. It's not rocket science, but it's all the stuff you need to do it right the first time in one sitting.
