Getting there... Got the adjustable cam sprockets pressed on the camshafts today. My 1347 bike is starting to wake up. It's making a good solid 195 hp now, with 116 lb/ft of torque. This is up from 182 when we first got it together. It *really* needs a full mapping, which I will probably do tomorrow or maybe on Friday. The torque numbers are really good to see. It's got more power (typically 9 or more hp) everywhere in the rpm band except the very peak over the 1270 bike, and easily 20 lb/ft of torque. I'll try to get a dyno sheet comparison of the two posted in the next few days.

any idea what you're gonna be running for timing? kinda curious as I plan on getting the sprockets, but not sure how I'm gonna set up the cams with the Akro

Tuning Link software saved my ass!
Ok, this is more like it:
I was really getting frustrated, and chasing my tail trying to map the bike by hand. So I took a couple hours today and used Tuning Link. First step was to warm the bike up, then do some low (cruise) rpm steady state mapping. After that was complete, it was time for the fun stuff, roll-on mapping! I love sitting on the bike, setting the throttle to whatever percentage, and seeing just how far it will go with it! FYI, anything over 20% throttle will hit the rev limiter in whatever gear I choose. I started with a blank map, and haven't added in any ignition timing. That's right, *ZERO* timing advance.
And here's the before and after dyno runs. The difference is so huge, it's hard to make sense of the dyno chart:

BTW, sorry if there's any confusion! The two runs in the top dyno posting are of my 1270 bike (195hp) and the 1347 bike (200hp)

Hi Swift.....Great info, however your dyno numbers appear to be uncorrected, (standard), rather than SAE, or corrected for proper registration. Did you by chance do the conversion and if so how did it look?
For the record guys, when reading a dyno print out you can often tell uncorrected numbers because the vector is very rough, not smooth. When a correction factor is introduced, the curve(s) smooths out.

Cliff - I'll check the smoothing and see what's up with that! Since I'm at sea level, there's very little diff between sae and std. I'll flip it and see what it looks like, tho.
KCadby - Thanks for noticing, ya fast fekker! Dino has offered to pilot this monster down the strip this summer, could be interesting (or scary without wheelie bars or an extended swingarm!)
