We're all gonna rue the day this godawful (insert word here- just don't use "sport") ever started. I'd be amazed if 20/20 or somebody hasn't already started on the segment that will tarnish us all.....
This crap just infuriates me.

i don't have anything against the... activity...per se, rather enjoy some wheelies & stoppies once in a while. it's the attitude that's usually attached to it that bugs me. i'v said many times before that i like the stunt scene in europe. professionally run, properly organised events, and full gear ALWAYS (cept most of them use open face. seems liek a bad idea). but this north american fascination with hooliganism... no sir, don't like it.
but if it werent' stunting, it'd be something else. shitheads will find SOMETHING to ruin, no matter what. why can't suicide become the new cool thing for the morons to compete in?

Yeah the truth is the BMX kids see these stunts and show them to their moms and dads and then mom and dad want to outlaw motorcycles. What I don't understand is how it is that the sanctioning bodies for their sport allow the lack of safety equipment. The same racing event that the guys are intertaining fans at require helmets (with a current sticker, no scrapes or dings), gloves, boots, and full leathers for the competitors.

The AMA and all of the other sanctioning bodies should make it clear that if you have this type of an event and allow these people to compete without proper safety gear and or properly teched motorcycles that the event will lose it's sanction. This should go for NHRA, NASCAR and or any other place where they allow these guys to compete and or entertain without the right gear.

It is an extreme sport yes, but it doesn't need to be an extremely stupid sport.

I have personaly seen a STREETBIKE do a FULL LOOP off the starting line at Gville...I'm talking 9-10K drop the clutch and...LOOP ALL THE WAY OVER/AROUND...Handlbars/Headlite/Seat...NOTHING touched the ground before the TAIL-LITE was on it's SECOND pass!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!
The guy "ridding???" the bike finally let go of the grips when the bike was upside down...and he "looked like SuperMan" FLYING horizontal to the ground...

...hopefully this kind of thing (ie. the smashing of one's own balls with a 400+lb hammer and spilitting your brain housing unit ) will help self-eliminate the really stupid gene-pool...I still think its photoshop unless someone can show me the video...

Turns out...I know someone that knows the guy and..."has tried" to get him to wear a helmet...
What a dumb-ass...gonna ruin it for the people that DO know better...

The guy I know...called (Nextel) one of the guys that put on the "show"
INCREDIBLE...the guy wasn't pissed (like I think he SHOULD BE) that his "buddy" doesn't wear a helmet...he WAS PISSED that the video is on the Net though...
Said he's not going to allow cameras at the next "event"...
