Coming home!!
Well it has been several years since i have been here. Dont know who is still around but thought i would poke around. I am buying another 12R again. I missed my old one so much (hellsdarklord has owned it now for a few years and wont give it back!!)...LOL...I decided to purchase scooters dads red 2000. Some might remember Larry.. Going to pick it up shortly and am excited. Greetings to all and looking forward to building another 12. Older now so going for a little less GP theme..LOL
Where is aka "shut-the-fuck-up" Bart....
Are Fish and Kiwi still around? Cool people...Gave me a hat at the Indy dealer show...OMG several years ago after partying at the slippery noodle .....LMAO!!!...

Cool....Glad some are still here...Man, those were the days huh....
I got all the detailing done last night and will put tires on this weekend. I will have some pics soon. M. Chestnut dropped some old goodies off last night. Awesome of him. Rog is hooking me up with some more stuff as well.
Awesome you are still racing it......Im soo glad to have another one..Missed the other bad...

Good to hear from you again.
Larry's bike.........man you got a nice one!
Haven't heard from Bart or Otis (Chris) in years, we stopped by and visited with Chris a few years back when we were passing thru Michigan.
Last time I talked with Mike he was fooling with pin-ball machines, what an amazing mechanic and Roger too. Boy I miss hearing from the old gang.
I still got my 12, engine is destroyed but I'll get her going again one day.
Post up some shots of the red 12.

Great to hear from you to Dan... Yes it is gorgeous!!!...I could not be happier, never had a bike this oem and clean!!..Like a leftover 2000 12R..lOL
Rog's 12 has 5th gear out so its down now too....Yes they are great mechanics. We will be doing the reliability upgrades but that's about it on this one. I'm riding it. Just finished getting it prepped and set-up for me last night...
I will hopefully get some pics up today after the parade...Daughter dancing in it...

I found all the carbon in a day.....Last time it took me a couple years to track it down..LOL

Great to hear......Yea,yea...I know the green is cool....I got the red one though. Been playing with the color to dial it in....
Love working on this bike. Got brakes flushed last night. Gonna take the bodywork off this weekend and flush all fluids and get some parts ready for paint....Ill try and take some pics to post first..LOL....No shit...the sun has not come out but a few hours this week and that was during the day at work....No room in forcast for improvment till next week....Hate winter!!!!

Well here it is. The sun came out this morning for about 10 min so I snapped a couple pics. Its ready to ride finally all except a front brake issue that we are sorting at the moment. Going in the shop in a month or so for all the mechanical upgrades so no hurry. To damn cold and wet to ride anyway....

Wow!!! I'm not use to seeing bags on a 12. It's very different. I will say I do love the polished lips on the wheels and the triple tree looks good as well!

As well as Larry cared for the bike I'd say you've got one of the or maybe THE nicest 12 in the country!

Thanks....It is gorgeous!!.Im a little disappointed in the bike though. Took it out for a ride yesterday finally after replacing the rotors(oem right bent) and tires and flushing the brake fluids. It started running like crap once underway at speed!! I think it has sat for to long and may have some major fueling issues now. No FI light or anything like that indicating something electrical. The more I rode it the better it got but still bad. No idle and hard starting..Got the oil and coolant flushed. Oh well now the chassis is comfortable I guess its time to do the tuning and fuel system..I will say this..I missed the torque!!! I wind tested the bags at 155 with 20mph winds and it felt ROCK solid!!!

This junk we're having to run instead of gasoline is hard on anything that sits for a while. I'd run some Seafoam, Techron, etc. through it a time or two, maybe it will help.
I wind tested my bags one time at Maxton running 194.5mph after riding the bike over there in sport-touring mode......surprised a bunch of 'Busa's!!!!
Muzzys (maybe Doug) built a turbo 12 for Corbin that a guy named Chance rode at to like 205 complete with Beetle Bags, pretty impressive.

Yea, I have some fresh fuel in now and damn near a whole bottle of seafoam in too. Rog seems to think it is a spark plug or tps issue. We will see soon....
I am sooo thrilled about the stability with the bags...Awesome!!

Got into a world of crap........bent rotors....fouled plugs.....bad fuel pump.....horrid tires......starting to regret buying the 12 I bought.......I gave a preimium price for a bike that needs EVERYTHING......My tail is tucked and I am officially embarrassed........geez!..Sure is pretty though....LOL...Glad its winter and got time to rebuild WHOLE bike....

I knew I should have cleared over those decals so you would leave then on!!....By the way...That was just wrong on so many levels...I feel bad enough about giving 5K for a 3500 bike IMO..... Seriously...I do miss that 12 dearly!!! Wicked fun for sure. I am not taking this 12 down the same road as that one. I will be sending it to Rog or Dave for the tuning and mods soon and it should be sorted after there love. Probably LOTS of my money to boot too.... Just planned on a ready to ride bike for the money I paid. NOT a bike that I need to sink another 1K in to get it good.....He could have kept the suit and helmet....Thinking of selling the bags to help offset the cost of getting it right.....
